These Terms and Conditions ("Coach Terms") govern your use of the OneCoach platform ("the Platform", "Service", "we", "us", or "our") as a coach. By registering as a coach on OneCoach, you agree to comply with these Coach Terms. These terms are in addition to, and do not replace, our general Terms & Conditions (Users), which also apply to all Platform users.
2. Coach Eligibility and Verification
2.1 Qualifications
To become a coach on OneCoach, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess relevant certifications, qualifications, or professional experience in your coaching field
- Have the legal right to work as a coach in your jurisdiction
- Maintain valid and current professional liability insurance (if required by local law)
2.2 Verification Process
All coaches must complete our verification process, which includes:
- Identity verification
- Credential and certification verification
- Background check (where legally permissible)
- Professional reference checks
3. Coach Responsibilities
3.1 Professional Conduct
As a coach on OneCoach, you agree to:
- Provide high-quality, professional coaching services
- Treat all athletes with respect and professionalism
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with athletes
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain current certifications and continue professional development
3.2 Session Delivery
You are responsible for:
- Arriving on time for all scheduled sessions
- Providing the services as described in your profile
- Maintaining appropriate equipment and facilities (for in-person sessions)
- Ensuring reliable internet connection and equipment (for online sessions)
4. Profile and Listing
4.1 Profile Information
You must provide accurate and complete information in your coach profile, including:
- Qualifications and certifications
- Areas of expertise
- Pricing and availability
- Coaching approach and methodology
4.2 Profile Updates
You agree to keep your profile information current and accurate at all times.
5. Payments and Fees
5.1 Service Fees
OneCoach charges a service fee of 15% on all booking transactions. This fee covers platform maintenance, payment processing, customer support, and marketing services.
5.2 Pricing
You set your own pricing for coaching sessions. All prices must be clearly displayed and communicated to athletes before booking.
5.3 Payouts
Payments are released to coaches within 48 hours after session completion, minus the platform service fee. You must provide valid payment information to receive payouts.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
6.1 Coach-Initiated Cancellations
If you need to cancel a session:
- Cancellations made 24+ hours before the session: Full refund to athlete, no penalty to coach
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours: Full refund to athlete, potential account review
- No-shows without cancellation: Full refund to athlete, account suspension risk
6.2 Athlete-Initiated Cancellations
For athlete cancellations, you may set your own cancellation policy within these parameters:
- Flexible: Full refund if cancelled 24+ hours in advance
- Moderate: 50% refund if cancelled 24+ hours in advance
- Strict: No refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance
7. Safety and Liability
7.1 Safety Standards
You must:
- Ensure athlete safety during all coaching sessions
- Conduct appropriate assessments before training
- Modify exercises based on individual athlete needs and limitations
- Have emergency procedures in place
7.2 Insurance
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate professional liability and general liability insurance coverage. OneCoach does not provide insurance coverage for coaches.
7.3 Medical Conditions
You must require athletes to disclose any medical conditions or injuries that may affect their ability to participate in coaching sessions.
8. Prohibited Activities
As a coach, you are prohibited from:
- Taking payments outside of the OneCoach platform
- Soliciting athletes to book sessions off-platform
- Sharing athlete contact information with third parties
- Engaging in any form of discrimination or harassment
- Making false or misleading claims about your qualifications
- Providing medical advice or diagnosis (unless you are a licensed medical professional)
9. Reviews and Ratings
Athletes can leave reviews and ratings after sessions. You agree to:
- Accept honest feedback from athletes
- Not attempt to manipulate or incentivize reviews
- Not retaliate against athletes for negative reviews
- Respond professionally to feedback
10. Data and Privacy
You must:
- Comply with all applicable data protection laws
- Keep athlete information confidential
- Use athlete data only for providing coaching services
- Obtain consent before recording sessions or sharing athlete information
11. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your coaching materials and content. However, by uploading content to OneCoach, you grant us a license to display and promote your profile and services on our platform.
12. Account Suspension and Termination
OneCoach reserves the right to suspend or terminate your coach account if:
- You violate these Coach Terms or our general Terms and Conditions
- You receive multiple complaints or negative reviews indicating poor service
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Your certifications or qualifications expire or are revoked
13. Independent Contractor Status
You are an independent contractor, not an employee of OneCoach. You are responsible for:
- Your own taxes and tax filings
- Your own business expenses
- Your own insurance coverage
- Compliance with local business regulations
14. Changes to Coach Terms
We may update these Coach Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
